All the books we send out are autographed by the author. If you'd like a particular inscription, email her and she will do it, but it will add about eight days to the process. Shipping takes 4-15 business days, depending on your location, but we can do a rush order--contact us if you need that.

We normally use the U.S. Postal service, which has worked well so far, but if you need us to ship it via another service, let us know, by writing smallhouse@theriver.com.

Especially if you live in or near Iowa , consider purchasing a copy from the Small House Society. Your purchase will help support that organization.

You can also order it through your local bookstore-many bookstores keep it in stock.

We appreciate your purchase. When you buy directly from us, we net about $6 per book. When you buy through a bookstore we net about $1.50, and when you buy through an internet discount site, the sum is 41 cents.
